Arushi…May god bless your soul
The drama ended today with the police theory that father killed Arushi because of his extra marital affair. The servant was witness of the murder so he was killed too.
Here I don’t want to discuss the loopholes of the theory which police presented. I just want to look into the human and social angle of the whole case.
Highly placed doctors with a reputation and their only daughter must have presented a beautiful picture of an idle family. The lovely and smart girl who was studying in the best school was supposed to be a strong and sweet girl. She was just as any other teenager, talking on phone and massaging in odd hours to her friends. She was living like any other kid in Delhi or NCR, in a house where most important people of her life were busy with their work. She was a normal girl till fate decided something unexpected for her, which was not only cruel, but at the same time gruesome. This is where Arushi became normal girl to a gossip, a sweet girl to a news item, a daughter to a dead person.
The role of media is a big question in this issue. Journalists were lunging like hawks on the bits and pieces of information and TV channels were flashing her photo like any other news item with sensational headings. Were they selling news, increasing their TRP or really interested in showing the truth which even police was clueless about? Same news was repeated again and again, and different snaps of the poor girl whose birthday was next day were flashed continuously.
Why is Arushi murdered? Who killed her? Why was servant killed? Were the questions, which came to everyone’s mind. Two gruesome murders that took place in the house and parents kept sleeping? Was it a thing to believe? Then why did police believe that? After one-week police declared that father killed her because she was having relations with the servant. So it was a honor killing? Father saw daughter in objectionable position with servant and killed them both? According to police Dr.Talwar, Arushi’s father saw this and told servant to go to terrace because he wanted to talk to him. Means father did not loose his cool at that moment but thought a plan instantly? If he was in rage and saw them in her bedroom why did he wait? Why didn’t he kill them there and then? Then he went to terrace and killed him, came down, had some drinks and then killed his daughter in the same way he killed his servant.
Now the question is what was Arushi doing in the meanwhile? Why did not she go to her mother’s bedroom? Why didn’t she protest? She knew father was in rage, then why didn’t she shout for help? Isn’t it evident enough that she was killed first and not the servant?
Is it possible for a person to murder and stay cool after that? Dr. Talwar had whiskey and then killed his daughter in the same way? His only daughter!! If he was drunk after the first murder, how was it possible to kill the daughter in same way as he killed the servant? Is it a handiwork of some professional murderer or this was really doctor who did it?
Police says Arushi knew about her father’s illicit relationship with his colleague and she shared this information with their servant. Isn’t it funny that instead of sharing this with her mother she shared it with the servant? The servant was 45 years old man. If father says that they were having relation, then why mother was not aware of this? Mother who used to accompany her everywhere from dropping and picking from school to her dance classes did not know about this? Why the servant was not kicked out of the house instantly when father started suspecting this?
Now, if we go according to Dr.Talwars story, it is evident that he was afraid of his affair getting public, and was mad to see his daughter in objectionable position. First things first….He was afraid of his affair going public….but the affair was already out. His daughter, his servant and many people of his clinic knew about it. Then what was he afraid of? There must be something else which he did not want to come out. Some ugly truth, which eventually would come out, but he is not willing to tell that.
He says that he killed servant first, then what was the need of killing his daughter? He was afraid that a fourteen-year girl, who was his daughter, too would make it public? Wasn’t it easier to divorce his wife and live happily with his ladylove? If he was fed up of his wife and daughter he had all the more reason to move out of the house. But instead of doing that he chose to murder two people and one of them was his own daughter.
The second thing that he saw them in objectionable position and knew that they were having relationship, then why did he wait for the opportunity? Why didn’t he spoke to his wife and kicked the servant out? Why Arushi was allowed to stay in the house alone with servant? Was she too desperate to share her personal things that she opted for servant instead of her mother or friends? Was he becoming a emotional support for her in absence of her parents? If yes then this is a lesson to all of us who are running in the race of a better living style and forgetting the time and support our children need.
There are questions, many questions and with time answers may come but what’s the meaning of those answers? Poor child is dead. Who killed her and why, can not bring her back to life. But we certainly can open our eyes. The relations that are supposed to be at high esteem are breaking? Personal pleasures are becoming more important than the loved ones? People are turning to unknown walks of the life for the love, support and mental stability, instead of the close ones?
Arushi is gone. But please open your eyes to the ones, who are dear to you, please be with them and try to understand what are they growing through. Yes you can make a difference.
May god bless her soul.

Hi Promilla,
Sahi kaha hai aap ne. Prashan bhi sahi hain. Par musibat to ye hai ki aaj ke Mata Pitah khud to aadarsh Maa Baap nahi ban paaty, aur bachchon se aadash bachchy bann jany ki umeed rakhty hain. Natija to samny hi hai. Par Arushi ke liye sach moch afsoos hota hai. Poor girl!

Hi Promila,
There is definitely more than meets the eye and I'm not looking forward to the truth coz it will be murkier and demolish all our faith in the family as an institution.
It is truly sad how we are disintegrating as a family and seeking solace outside our home.
May Arushi's soul rest in peace.
Bunty.

Noida, the capital city of murders.
Now today Arushi's mother has spoken in public that his husband is innocent even this statement was repeated by Dr. Talwars friend Dr. Durrani. The police have no evidents & the case does not stand in the court.
Above to all this, we can not get Arushi back. But it is totally suprising that the parents didn't at all know what all is happening the whole night. Didn't they hear the cries of their only daughter.
