After reading Rag picker story, by compulsion I stopped on road when I saw rag picker,
I decided to watch him for few minutes which turned out to be 15 minutes, after that I left for my routine. I tried to write down what I saw but when I read my passage I found it not even close to yours, so I just deleted it. I felt speck of jealousy against you (for lack of talent in me) for painting this character so beautifully; it reveals the degree of sensitivity of writer in you.  Thank you for giving us this lovely story.
Now I have to read all your stories, after Rag picker they are all on hit list and will complete reading them soon.

Dear Mythili

Sad it is indeed but i tried to give him at least something in the end, in spite of knowing that stealing in any circumstances is not acceptable.

Thank you so much for liking it.

Thanks for visiting my blog Swarajya…

We are always cribbing for this thing and that thing, in spite of blessed wid so many luxuries, but there are people who are deprived of even essential needs, necessary to survive, who live quietly under our nose. We need to learn a lot from them.

Promilla,
I felt so sad for that boy whom we see every day in our lives ,if only we keep our eyes and sensitivities alert.Eventhough it is ingrained into us that thieving is bad,I felt very happy that some justice was done to him.Great story.

one of the best stories i have read in Sulehka..
the reality is brought out without too much of melodrama..
the boys anger at getting cheated his stealing of the silver coin, the child in him when he played with the car,the fight for survival ... amazing .. very captivating....

Your story has made me sad.We have such people who live in filth and get rays of hopes for their future. We too have such heartless people who thrive on cheating the gullibles. When will the exploitation end?
